Last week I realized something. We are often told not to care what other people think, but that seems very difficult to manage. If I don’t care what other people think, then what will motivate me to do a good job, and to be kind to others? It occurred to me, that when I am kind and listen to someone and try my hardest, it doesn’t have to be for their good opinion. It can be for my own good opinion. In the end, what they think truly isn’t what’s important. When I am kind to them and try hard, I have a good opinion of myself. However they react, I still have that good opinion of myself. I try to carry this knowledge with me.
